My dear parishioners,
Like you, I was very pleased to hear that our efforts to combat the spread of the coronavirus, and the advent of several vaccines have allowed a loosening of restrictions on our gatherings. While many have focused on the allowance of a larger number of people at our liturgical celebrations, it is important to note that we are still being asked to maintain safe social distance and continue to wear masks. The fact is that if we are to meet the safe distancing requirements, we cannot at this time remove the tape separating us by one pew. That also means that our total number of people who can attend any one service is still limited to about 250. It is good to remember that at this time last year we were not able to gather at all, and that Holy Week and Easter were only celebrated electronically.
I look forward to the day when we are able to gather without restrictions, however, that day is not yet. Please continue to pray that God will deliver us from this time of trial and gather us all once again.
