Congratulations to our most recent First Communicants!
Kindergarten-5th grade: "Alive in Christ and Call to Faith" and "Blessed"
"Alive in Christ and Call to Faith" is the series used for students in Grades Kindergarten, 1, 3, 4 and 5. It follows key themes of Catholic teaching that repeat with a grade level focus building on the child’s knowledge of the faith at each developmental stage. The 7 essential foundational themes of the faith are–Revelation, Trinity, Jesus Christ, The Church, Morality, Sacraments and the Kingdom of God.
Grade 2 prepares for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. This year, we are using “Blessed” – the new Dynamic Catholic Program. “Blessed" captures children’s hearts, engages their wonder, and takes them on an unforgettable adventure through the story of Jesus and the Church in preparation for their First Communion!

Totus Tuus
Totus Tuus, which means “Totally Yours” in reference to Mary the Mother of God, is a week-long summer catechetical program for youth. A team of young adults travel around the Diocese of New Ulm and spend a week in the parish teaching two programs. The daytime program is designed for students entering grades 1-5 and talks about various themes of the Catholic faith. Additionally, there is a focus on the Rosary, meaning the children learn about a mystery and pray a decade together each day. The full day includes skits, crafts, games, singing, prayer, Mass, fun, and so much more! They learn a little about a lot during this week, including vocations, elements of the Mass, and even the saints. Traditionally, there is a water fight that concludes the week. This is something no one wants to miss, especially when their favorite young adult teacher gets wrapped to a tree! The evening program is for students entering 6-12 grade. They are invited to join the team for faith discussions, prayer time, games, and have the opportunity to witness young college students living a fully Catholic life.
